I enjoyed photographing this Top of the Rock elopement portrait session at Big Cedar Lodge in Branson, Missouri of Abigayle and Reece. They are a lovely couple who traveled in for their destination wedding at the Chapel of the Ozarks. Their portrait session was elegant with vibrant spring florals and colors that complimented their wedding style and inspiration. I loved taking their couple portraits especially inside after their ceremony with the light from the windows facing them which gave the couple a natural glow to their faces. I also prefer to photograph in natural lighting, so this was the perfect soft setting with the Chapel, and the lights from the ceiling giving some pop to the images. I took plenty of intimate bride and groom shots here, along with their individual groom photos and bridal shots.
We then moved forward into the outdoor space of the Ozark Chapel to take more photos outside. I used the outdoor chapel to showcase the greenery and the brick chapel building. In this setting I was able to direct and pose the couple for more candid shots, by having the groom twirl her bride and then with them both walking side by side to each other. We then walked over to the rocks and I posed the couple overlooking the Table Rock Lake in Branson, MO. These portraits were so beautiful with the warmer spring tones and in bright daylight I was able to capture the perfect depth of field to bring softness to the images.
Abigayle and Reece are so in love, and I was able to capture their raw and intimate connection to each other. I enjoyed and loved working with them so much. Their elopement was so beautiful, elegant, and timeless. I would photograph their micro wedding all over again. To view their stunning and exquisite photo gallery keep scrolling down to see more.
